Consumers’ confidence in food safety in the United States is at an all time low, according to a Gallup Poll.
The poll revealed that only 12 percent of U.S. adults say they have a “great deal” of faith while 41 percent say they have a “fair amount” of confidence in the federal government to keep the food supply safe.
Almost 6,500 people are believed to have suffered food poisoning linked to a school food program in Indonesia.
The number of cases related to the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program has reached 6,452, according to some sources.
