Researchers have explored the first-ever Salmonella Enteritidis outbreak involving the poultry sector in New Zealand.
Salmonella Enteritidis was behind a 2019 outbreak at a restaurant in Auckland. There were 17 confirmed and 21 probable cases. The likely source was a raw egg dessert.
Nevada has met the USDA’s “at least equal to” food safety standard, becoming the 30th state to implement the Meat and Poultry Inspection (MPI) Program.
Under the program, Nevada will expand its state inspection capacity with food safety oversight to boost market access for small and very small processors.
