“Almost half a year (that’s right, half a year!) after Fresh Realm ready-to-reheat meals were originally linked to a Listeria monocytogenes outbreak and the original recalls were conducted, illnesses continue and pasta as an ingredient by another supplier (Nate’s Fine Foods) is now contributing to a wave of ingredient driven recalls in a variety of pasta containing meal products sold by retailers.”

The FDA and CDC are investigating a new outbreak of Salmonella Richmond infections that have been traced to imported moringa leaf powder.

As of Oct. 31 there are 11 confirmed outbreak patients across seven states. Three of the patients have required hospitalization.

Stakeholders in the tomato sector in Sicily have defended their products following links to a multi-country outbreak.

The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) said there were 437 confirmed Salmonella Strathcona infections between January 2023 and September 2025. Investigations have consistently pointed to tomatoes as the likely source.
