Five people have been infected by the same type of Listeria since mid-August.
Michigan officials have issued a warning against eating fish from four lakes after testing found high levels of PFOS contamination. The advisory applies to multiple species and is aimed at protecting frequent fish consumers from long-term health risks.
A survey in India has revealed that more than eight in 10 people are concerned about food safety.
The PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) survey in January and February included 1,031 participants from India. Overall, 84 percent of consumers were extremely or very concerned about food safety.
Sprout Organics has initiated a recall of Sprout Organics Sweet Potato Apple and Spinach because it may contain elevated levels of lead.
