Help shape the future of Food Safety News

Since 2009, we’ve delivered free food safety reporting. Now we’re becoming a 501(c)(3) nonprofit to keep FSN alive for the long term. Since you are the backbone of what we do, we need your input and expertise.

We’re considering launching a paid membership. And by telling us what you want, we can make sure it’s valuable to you.

Got 3 minutes? The survey closes August 8th.

The Food and Drug Administration has updated several import alerts.

Tighter controls for Salmonella on tahini and halva from Syria are among changes made by the European Commission to checks on imported products.

Overall, 2,544 cases of Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC) were reported with 564 STEC O157 and 1,980 non-O157. There were also five outbreaks with 467 cases.
